My blog has turned the corner for a new adventure. With one book, Tide Cracks and Sastrugi: An Antarctic Adventure of 1968-69 now published and selling extremely well, I’m out to upstage that with a novel. This will be centred on Antarctica and based in large part about the frightening experiences of a fictional field technician marooned and isolated for a whole winter in the Wright Dry Valley, referred to in Tide Cracks and earlier blogs. To set the scene I’ve changed the blog header to reflect the new adventure. It is a shot I took looking west in the valley over Lake Vanda.
